The Octominoes
The 51x58 rectangle below was constructed from the 369 octominoes by Michael Keller.
This construction took 24 hours of work over a week; it was completed on February 8, 1987.
It was published in October 1987, and I believe it was the first published
construction with the full octomino set, although David Bird privately circulated some of
his constructions much earlier.
